"Visiting Enterprises, Expanding Employment Opportunities" (Episode 3)

In order to fully implement and to promote high-quality employment for graduates, the School of Business, led by Secretary Peng, Yu and Professor Huilin, He, Program Coordinator of Marketing program, and teachers from the Office of External Cooperation, took some graduating job seekers and students majoring in marketing from the 2021 class to visit and conduct research at New Hope Shuangxi Dairy Co., Ltd. located at No. 49 Lushan Road, Huqiu District, Suzhou. Through field visits and interactions, cooperation negotiations were conducted to expand employment opportunities, with the aim of further optimizing student employment and consolidating the foundation.

At the early morning of the day, the university bus carrying teachers and students arrived at the Shuangxi factory on time. Ms. Gong, the Manager in charge of Human Resources and Administration, led her department staff to welcome us.

During the visit to the transparent factory, the person in charge, Yin, Ba, gave a detailed explanation of the production, storage, and transportation of Shuangxi milk, helping teachers and students better understand the normal operation process of the enterprise factory.

In addition to visiting the production factory workshop, Shuangxi also designed a variety of engaging activities. For example, they played educational videos on food education in the "Food Education Paradise", allowing teachers and students to gain deeper understanding of the development history and related knowledge of Shuangxi's food education. They also included ice-breaking activities, gradually bringing together the university-enterprise, teachers and students, and students themselves through games.

Shuangxi also specially invited the Marketing Director, Jianhua, Xie, to introduce the development history of the new milk industry and Shuangxi's marketing strategies and future plans across various channels. This included strategic tactics, product channels, and development plans. Manager Hao, Wang, also introduced the current situation and planning for the image store. The students then discussed and presented in groups on the topic of "How can the traditional brand of Shuangxi attract young consumer groups in the 'Z' era where they are becoming the main consumers?" This visit was not only a study tour for marketing program, but also a practical activity organized by the School of Business to expand high-quality employment opportunities for graduates and promote more adequate and higher-quality employment.

Through a series of visits and special actions to expand employment opportunities, the School of Business has taken the initiative to communicate with enterprises, and is committed to providing multi-level and precise employment and entrepreneurial services for graduates. While continuously strengthening employment services for graduates, the School is also actively exploring employment cooperation channels with relevant units by thoroughly exploring job positions. At the end of the event, the Head of Talent Development at Shuangxi gave a detailed introduction to the company's culture, talent development philosophy, and recruitment plan, and invited students to intern at the company while providing them with job-seeking tips.

The "New Hope Shuangxi" visit event received high attention from both SCC and the enterprise. In the future, the School of Business will continue to carry out a wide range of activities such as visiting enterprises to expand employment opportunities, conducting large-scale surveys on enterprises, and holding offline enterprise presentations. This will further focus on the construction of professional talent training systems, eliminate barriers between university-enterprise resources, share resources and co-create, improve teaching reform efforts, and cultivate more high-quality talents who are compatible with economic development.
