SCC Research Unit: School of Arts and Design

　　After years of teaching and practical exploration, School of Arts and Design has gradually formed an excellent teaching and academic research team, and become a dominant discipline with distinctive features and remarkable achievements, making important contributions to local economic and cultural construction. Training objectives of the college is based on Suzhou, facing the country, with the traditional cultural resources and high-tech enterprises cluster in Suzhou as the backing, step by step with traditional cultural inheritance and innovation in the south of the Yangtze river in o a creative of high-quality skilled personnel training base. The college now has a new type of teaching staff led by the young and the old, with novel knowledge structure and active academic thinking. There are 16 teachers, including 1 professor, 3 associate professors (senior engineers), 3 lecturers and 1 PhD candidate. The school has extensive academic exchanges with many famous art colleges and universities at home and abroad, and has established school-enterprise cooperative relations with many related enterprises. We have major in architecture design, interior design, animation technology and production, digital media art, advertisement design and production. At present, there are more than 600 students. Relying on the school-running characteristics of Canada Centennial College and Suzhou University of Science and Technology and the advantages of art and design disciplines, the School of Art and Design absorbs new concepts and new achievements of art and design education at home and abroad, strengthens the integration of art and technology, and strives to build the School in o a brand school of art and design in The South of the Yangtze River. The school has five teaching and research sections: advertising design and production teaching and research section (Gao Huilin), animation production technology teaching and research section (CAI Yabo), digital media art design teaching and Research Office (Fu Hanlu), architectural design teaching and research section (Lu Jinliang) and interior design teaching and research section (Lu Jinliang).

　　1. The Leading Researchers in Art Design Research Group

　　Prof. ZHENG Yingfeng , Dean/School of Arts and Design

　　Prof. Zheng Yingfeng, Dean of the school of art and design, graduated from the Department of fine arts of Shanxi University in 1984, and graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2000. In 2001, he visited the Australian National University and the University of Sydney. In 2005, he was selcted by the Central Academy of fine arts to conduct professional investigation in France, Germany, the Netherlands and other countries. He is currently a member of the Editorial Committee of the Journal of Soochow University of science and technology, Professor of art college, tutor of master's degree, and Dean of art and Design College of Suzhou Centennial vocational college. He is a member of China Artists Association, Aesthetic Education Research Association of China Higher Education Association, Jiangsu Artists Association and Jiangsu oil painting society.

　　Ms. CAI Yabo

　　Ms. Yabo CAI graduated from Hubei Academy of fine arts with a master's degree and a senior engineer title. Before joining Suzhou Centennial vocational college, Ms. Cai once taught in Hubei Jianghan University, digital art major of Suzhou Research Institute of Wuhan University and Digital Art Department of Gaobo software technology college. As a professional backbone teacher, she was mainly responsible for the professional leader work of digital art and visual communication. Ms. Cai also served as the art director of Suzhou plastic Animation Co., Ltd., and served as the director of Suzhou Jiazhen Enterprise Management Co., Ltd., and also served as the director of art training center of Gaobo software technology college. She has rich experience in design teaching and education training.

　　Ms. GAO Huilin

　　Ms.GAO Huilin graduated from University of Arts London with a master of interior and spatial design. Intermediate title. Graduation artwork was selcted in a campaign to promote UAL’s Vice-Chancellor’s Postgraduate Scholarships in 2014 and also it is been on UAL official website until now. Work experience: Yidao Architecture, Shanghai : Interior Designer, Shanghai, 11,2013-08,2014 Suzhou Centennial College, Advertising design and production, Teacher, 09, 2014-Now Awards: The first prize, 2018, Suzhou, Yangcheng lake peninsula T-shirt design competition. The second prize, 2018, Suzhou, weike competition in SCC. The third prize, 2015, Suzhou, AIDS poter design competition.

　　Ms. YANG Jing

　　Ms. YANG Jing is working for her PhD degree in design science at Soochow University. As a lecturer at Suzhou Centennial College,she has taught the students such courses as Color, Artistic Composition, and Graphic Creativity, etc. So far, she has published more than 20 papers independently and two books as co-author.

　　2. The Leading Researchers in Architectural Design Research Group

　　Mr. LU Jinliang

　　Mr. LU Jinliang , director of architectural design major in College of art and design, has obtained bachelor's degree in architecture from Southeast University and master's degree in architecture from Harbin Institute of technology. Since September 1989, he has worked in the school of architectural and urban planning of Suzhou University of science and technology, and obtained the national first-class registered architect qualification in March 2000. He has won many provincial and municipal Competition Gold Awards for many years, and has achieved fruitful teaching and scientific research.

　　Ms. LUO Shanshan 

　　Ms.LUO Shanshan received her Master degrees in architecture from both university of Utah and Shanghai jiaotong university. She worked in several architectural professional institutes such as Nanchang architectural design and research institute and Jiangsu Zhushen architectural design and research institute. She led numerous big projects in both architectural design and urban planning. With diverse and extensive experience, she is familiar with the whole design lifecycle and process from scheme to construction design and bidding process. She published several peer reviewed articles and dedicated to architectural education now.

　　Ms. HOU Binbin

　　Ms. HOU Binbin graduated with double master degrees of March Architecture from  Hefei University of Technology and MSc Urban and Regional Development of Cardiff University in UK. After years of professional study, I have solid professional foundation, research ability and global perspective. Bachelor’s degree and master’s degree of Architecture study training, build my professional knowledge and skills in Architecture theory and practice. Through the graduate study and research in urban and regional development, I acquire the knowledge of urban development, renewal and sustainability studies, and I am also rethinking about the future of Chinese urban development with new research thinking and direction. In the aspect of teaching, Young students are our world’s future , I hope I can provide appropriate help for your future life and career. I will constantly explore better teaching methods in teaching and research work. I will try my best to stimulate students’ enthusiasm of learning and hopefully getting better learning results.
