苏州百年职业学院第二期教职工办公英语沟通技能提升培训课程开班仪式成功举办
2021年10月28日下午，由博雅学院牵头、国际交流中心鼎力支持的苏州百年职业学院第二期教职工办公英语沟通技能提升培训课程（以下简称课程）的首次课程亟开班仪式在G幢博雅学院阅览室召开。博雅学院张柯冉院长、国际交流中心负责人瞿亚森主任、博雅学院马琳副院长、培训教师Anastacia和徐臻以及各位学员老师参加了本次开班仪式。
On the afternoon of October 28, 2021, the first course meeting of the Second Staff English Training Course, led by SoLA, was held in the Reading Room, G building. The President of SoLA Karen Zhang ,Vice President Ma Lin, Director of the International Exchange Center, Director Qu Yasen, Training Lecturers, Anastacia Naidoo and Xu Zhen, students and teachers attended the meeting.
开班仪式由主讲老师Anastacia主持，主要向学员老师们介绍了教师团队、课程内容、考核评估方式和课程要求。本次课程旨在提升学校教职员工在工作场所中对语言的实际应用，包括沟通互动中的和商务英语理论中的基础语言及语言交际技能。
The meeting, hosted by the keynote lecturer, Anastacia Naidoo, introduced the students to the course team, course content, assessment methods and curriculum requirements. The course aims to improve the practical application of the English language by school staff in the workplace, including basic language skills and language communication skills in intercultural communication and interaction, and business English theory.
第二期课程在授课方式上根据过往的经验进行了以校本需求为主的优化与调整，主要采用线上教学的融合型学习模式。该类课程为教职工提供嵌入式语言和学习技能支持，同时还鼓励学员将课程中学到的技能运用到各项学习任务中。
The manner in which the second course will be taught has been adapted in light of the first course and its outcomes. As such, it will primarily entail online teaching as a teaching method, task-oriented assessments, and will make use of the Superstar platform to build a course with diversified multimedia resources, and to assist teachers during proposed open consultation times to be held offline.
课程以任务为导向，基于超星平台搭建了兼具丰富性与多样性的多媒体课程资源综合体，并辅以教师线下定期咨询。此种授课方式既能够达到培养和提升学员在实际工作中的英语操练能力的目的，同时也能满足学员老师们对于学习和任务完成的时间灵活性要求。
This method of teaching will not only achieve the goal of cultivating and improving the students' English ability in the workplace, but will also be flexible in respect of time in order to meet student needs and course requirements.
本次培训鼓励学员老师们在工作中使用英语进行交流，在学习过程中明确学习目标，要求和安排，期待教师们能够调动英语学习的积极性，自主建立合作学习小组，为我校营造更为浓厚的英语学习环境。
This course encourages students and teachers to communicate in English at work, to clarify learning objectives where relevant and need be, calls for lecturers to mobilize the enthusiasm of English learning, independently set up cooperative learning groups, and create a stronger English learning environment within Suzhou Centennial College (SCC).
